Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Intellectual Property Office, in conjunction with the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, formulated the "Jiangsu Provincial Innovation Management Intellectual Property International Standard Implementation Pilot Program", determining the first batch of pilot enterprises, with Suzhou Minsic Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. successfully selected.

This pilot program focuses on national intellectual property advantage demonstration enterprises and specialized and new "small giant" enterprises. It adopts a phased implementation approach, guiding enterprises and other innovation entities to implement the "Innovation Management—Intellectual Property Management Guidelines (ISO56005)" international standard. It aims to comprehensively build a working mechanism that deeply integrates innovation management and intellectual property, with innovation value realization as the core orientation. The goal is to embed intellectual property management activities into the entire innovation process, clarifying the goals, methods, and paths of intellectual property management in the innovation process, and comprehensively improving innovation efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.

Minsic has been rated as a national intellectual property advantage enterprise and a national-level specialized and new "small giant". It is a backbone enterprise with independent intellectual property rights and has achieved a grand slam of city, provincial, and national awards including the Suzhou Patent Award, the Jiangsu Patent Award, and the China Patent Award. In 2021, the number of invention patents and utility model patents increased by 150% and 140% respectively compared to 2020. In 2022, the number of invention patent authorizations increased by 5.7 times compared to 2021, and the patent layout has entered a stage of high patent value.

It is understood that the pilot program plans to gradually achieve full coverage of the implementation pilot of the international standard for innovation management for national intellectual property advantage demonstration enterprises and national specialized and new "small giant" enterprises within three years. Pilot enterprises will comprehensively implement the ISO56005 international standard, deeply integrating innovation management systems and intellectual property management systems. This will comprehensively improve the quality of enterprise intellectual property creation and utilization efficiency, significantly enhance innovation capabilities, and produce a number of demonstration cases of integrated management practices of innovation and intellectual property. It will also cultivate a group of high-value core patents supporting enterprise and industrial innovation development, helping to create a number of strong intellectual property enterprises, single-item champion enterprises, and leading enterprises, providing strong support for the construction of a strong manufacturing province and a strong intellectual property province.
