National Recognition! Minsic Wins the China Patent Award
On the 26th, the State Intellectual Property Office of China announced the winners of the 23rd China Patent Award, with Minsic Corporation's “Differential capacitive microphone with dual diaphragms” patent winning the China Patent Award for Excellence. This is Minsic's national-level recognition following the awards of Advanced Enterprise in Intellectual Property Work in Nanocity, Suzhou Excellent Patent First Prize, and Industrial Park Outstanding Contribution Award in Intellectual Property.
China Patent Award is jointly sponsored by the State Intellectual Property Office of China and the World Intellectual Property Organization. The highest award in the domestic patent field is China's only government award specifically rewarding inventions and creations granted patents, and it is recognized by the World Intellectual Property Organization ( WIPO).
“Differential capacitive microphone with dual diaphragms”
This patent innovatively uses the first and second diaphragms to form the first and second differential capacitors with the backplate, respectively. The recessed part of the second diaphragm is insulated from the first diaphragm via a connecting hole in the backplate, effectively solving the industry's technical challenges of low sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio in existing capacitive silicon microphones.
In 2021, the number of Minsic's invention and utility model patents increased by 150% and 140% respectively, compared to 2020, while the number of R&D personnel increased by 40%； In the first half of 2022, the number of invention patents granted was 1.4 times that of the entire year of 1.4 times the entire year of 2021.
