Minshen won the first prize of the Excellent Patent Award

Honor is affirmation and motivation for innovation
Recently, the Suzhou Municipal Government announced the winners of the 2021 Suzhou Excellent Patent Award. Minsic's patent for a "differential capacitive microphone with dual diaphragms" won the first prize of the Suzhou Excellent Patent Award, and it is also the only patent in the Industrial Park to win the first prize.
The Suzhou Excellent Patent Award is rigorously selected through qualification review, expert preliminary evaluation, review committee re-evaluation, and on-site defense, expert discussion, and anonymous voting. It was established by the Suzhou Municipal Government to encourage invention and creation and promote the transformation and implementation of patented technologies, and to provide high-quality entries for national and provincial patent awards.

Minsic's patent innovatively uses the first and second diaphragms to form the first and second differential capacitors with the back plate respectively, making the recessed part of the second diaphragm insulated from the first diaphragm via the back plate connection hole. This effectively solves the key and common industry technical problems of low sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio in existing capacitive silicon microphones.

Hard work and internal cultivation safeguard development
Minsic is known as the "first MEMS chip stock." The root of its sustainable development lies in self-confidence and self-reliance, adhering to the innovative spirit and maintaining a whole-industry-chain R&D and localized strategy. It cultivates core competitiveness in various aspects such as wafer manufacturing, chip design, and packaging and testing. This invisible innovation power becomes a driving force for development.
As business development accelerates, the company continuously strengthens its intellectual property management system and establishes the awareness that protecting intellectual property rights is protecting innovation. A top MEMS IP team was built, organically linking members from various backgrounds, including examiners, R&D personnel, corporate IPR staff, and patent agents, creating synergy. Intellectual property rights systems are embedded in various aspects of administration, procurement, R&D, and marketing, covering all intellectual property rights and related types, and are developed and implemented according to professional systems.
Furthermore, digital empowerment is used to build a digital intellectual property system, integrating the processes and data of patent mining, patent application, invalidation, and litigation. This improves internal management efficiency and strengthens external patent layout, safeguarding innovation development.

Promoting a fair and orderly market competition environment
In October, the MEMS Industry Intellectual Property Rights Alliance Founding Conference and the First Board of Directors Meeting were held in Suzhou, and Minsic was elected as the chairman unit.
The alliance was initiated and led by Minsic and other companies under the guidance of the provincial and municipal intellectual property offices. Using intellectual property rights as a link and collaborative patent application as a foundation, it integrates high-quality resources from various parties, including government, enterprises, and service institutions, to promote work in aspects such as overall planning, resource complementarity, collaborative protection, and brand cultivation. In addition, Minsic also took the lead in establishing a MEMS patent pool, collecting more than 100 industry patents, preparing for future patent operations, and further activating the MEMS industry's intellectual property market.
Vice General Manager Hu Wei stated at the founding conference that Minsic would earnestly fulfill the work requirements and suggestions from superior leaders, actively learn from domestic and international practical experiences, explore a new path for intellectual property alliances suitable for the MEMS industry, and strive to create a national-level intellectual property rights alliance to provide effective protection for alliance enterprises in dealing with domestic and international intellectual property disputes.
